The scrapbook featured in this digital library was assembled by Marion Pearl Ayer to commemorate the four years she spent at Simmons College as a student at the School of Secretarial Studies, entering in the fall of 1913 and graduating in the spring of 1917.

Marion was born on June 15, 1895. According to her social security record, she was born in Massachusetts, but by the time she attended High School she was living in Biddeford, Maine, about ten miles south of Portland.
